What type of wood are our planting tables made from? Our beds are made from FSC larch from British plantations. Larch is much stronger than pine, as durable as western red cedar and offers good value for money when compared with hardwoods, such as oak or elm. It's a beautiful wood that has a pinky-brown hue to it which weathers to a lovely silver-grey. It is naturally resistant to rot thanks to its extremely high resin content. We haven't pressure treated, varnished or painted it and there's no need for you to either. It really is extraordinary wood, perfect for long-lasting planting tables.
